introducing me and what fan behavior means
Mysterious era this. Cool girl vibes that. Everyone who’s ever had a remotely embarassing middle school experience has something to prove. We’ve had the “awkward phase” (still in mine), we’ve had the side bangs, and we’ve had the crush on that guy you told your friends looks better in real life I swear. And now we’re mid twenties, off of the starting block in our careers, and writing blogs because nothing’s felt the same since coding music in to your Tumblr on the family computer circa 2011.
I’ve lived in New York since march 2021, which means I have a good feel for the pace of life but am in no way a city vet. But I do spend a lot of time (and let’s be honest, money) being out and about and I’ve had my fair share of New York minutes.
i.e. sample sale hunger games, 4am subways, torrential downpours, $22 tequila shots, crying in public, and listening to Lorde driving over the Williamsburg bridge.
So welcome to my inner monologue (says every person writing a blog ever).
